When Melanie was at Mayo Medical School in Rochester, Minnesota, she first laid eyes on John, a handsome doctor, and she knew she had to meet him. When the duo finally did met, the rest was history. Amy & Ari may have gotten engaged in a cabin in Virgina, but the duo chose Emerson Park, located on Owasco Lake the smallest of the Finger Lakes, as the venue for their nuptials.

Blues & greens created the color palette for their wedding day, because the couple wanted natural and organic colors. "Everything aimed to be environmentally friendly without being in your face about it," Amy says. Amy made many of the day's details herself, including decorations and her own jewelry!
