Pennant flags are a simple way to add festive flair to your wedding. To make the fabric flags featured in the Fall/Winter edition of the magazine simply cut out your desired fabric into triangles in the shape and size that most appeals to you. Leave about an inch and a half of fabric at the top of the triangle (see bottom left image). place the rope along the top part of the triangle and roll the extra fabric around the rope, pinning it to secure it. Sew straight across the top part, fastening the rope to the fabric triangle. Triangles can be sewn along one continuous rope, or to individual ropes which can then be tied together.
