The understated elegance of vintage china provides a perfect pop of unexpected charm for the DIY-bride's wedding. Repurposing old tea cups can give new life to items you may already have around the house, or you can have fun hunting for these hidden gems. These eye-catching candles can be placed throughout your wedding venue, or given as favors to guests. Create your own tea cup candles in several easy steps:

Step One: Melt down wax in a double boiler. You can buy wax and dye it to match your color palette, or use bits of old candles you can't burn anymore.

Step Two: Tie wick to a bamboo stick and make sure that it hangs down straight. If you are using a store-bought wick, make sure the metal disk sits flat on the bottom.

Step Three: Pour wax into the tea cup, leaving some space at the top. Wait for the wax to fully harden before untying the wick from the wooden stick.
