This Washington DC couple - Charli & Joe - decided to escape the historic city & celebrate their nuptials in the charming upstate New York town of Skaneateles. The couple chose the colonial Sherwood Inn - situated amongst shops, galleries & old homes - it was the ideal locale for the nature-loving couple.
Charli & Joe chose a color palette of navy blue, light blue, gold & sage green. The couple incorporated natural materials whenever possible to give the ceremony a cozy vibe. Charli & Joe wanted a "comfortable" & DIY theme, which fit perfectly with their down-to-earth personalities. Charli's mother's hand-woven baskets held the colorful flower centerpieces & decorated the church beautifully.
Charli turned to Etsy for many of her decor elements, including adorable two-sided cartoon invitations made by Maddy of "Ello There Design" & delicious homemade caramels from the Caramel Jar.
Charli & Joe's advice: "Wedding planning is only as hard as you make it. Being busy professionals, we just let our amazing vendors take care of the details & we were thrilled with what we got - plus we had a lot less stress!"
