Louise McManus, owner of Louise M. Jewelry in Clifton Park, New York, has been fashioning bridal jewelry for close to a decade. For the past three years, Louise has turned her attention to creating custom pieces for brides-to-be, and her genuine passion for designing distinctive jewelry shines through. McManus notes, “I think it’s important to wear something unique on your wedding day, and most women are surprised to find that custom jewelry costs about the same as mass-produced pieces you’d find in a department store. Unlike off-the-shelf pieces, McManus’ work features only the finest semiprecious stones, 14k gold or silver wire, and Swarovski crystals to ensure exceptional quality. She meticulously sketches out designs for her clients, working closely with them in person or via e-mail, before she creates each one-of-a-kind piece.
In addition to her jewelry business, McManus also works at Lily Saratoga, a bridal boutique in Saratoga Springs, New York. It’s a position she loves, and her work keeps her abreast of all of the bridal industry’s latest trends.
